David is a research assistant and soon-to-be Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics at UCSD. He is currently researching the immune landscape of melanoma by identifying immune targets and mechanisms of immune evasion. When he’s not working, David like to cook, play music, rock climb, and surf. When he is working, he enjoys seeing his labmates' pets on Zoom and surprise appearances by Dr. Carter’s kids. David is also one of the only lab members that loves dark beers!
